How Auction works
Auction (옥션) is one of Korea's original online marketplaces and Gmarket's sister site, run by the same company. Most listings are fixed-price items from independent sellers, and it still hosts timed bidding (경매) listings; its seller base spans electronics, fashion, collectibles, and home goods, often at prices sharpened by years of competition between individual sellers.
스타배송Star Delivery
A guaranteed arrival date, weekends and holidays included; the page shows a date, not a time. ₩3,000 shipping, free from ₩15,000, while 판매자 스타배송 uses the seller's own fee.
오늘출발Ships today
The seller dispatches the same day if paid before the cut-off shown on the item, set between 09:00 and 18:00. Several items in one order can push it back.
경매Bidding listing
A timed auction: a winning bid is a binding purchase and the price isn't known until it closes. Bids can only be withdrawn with the seller's consent, and not in the last 10 hours.

Installed goods: up to 14 business daysAuction's own guide allows 10–14 business days for appliances and furniture that need installation, and their delivery often can't be tracked online, so we check progress with the seller in Korean.

Sellers can cancel for stockA seller can cancel after payment because of a stock-out or a restock delay. If your order is cancelled, we refund you in full.

Change of mind: you pay both waysFor a change-of-mind return the buyer pays the return shipping and the original delivery fee, deducted from the refund; if the item is wrong or damaged, the seller pays.
Tips for ordering Auction through us
- Send fixed-price listings: a 경매 (bidding) item has no final price until the auction closes, so it can't be matched to the ₩ price in our order form.
- The same product is often listed on both Auction and Gmarket, so compare the two and send whichever link works out cheaper.

Is Auction (옥션) the same as Gmarket?
They're run by the same company, so 스타배송, 오늘출발 and most help-centre rules work the same way on both. Sellers, prices and coupons can differ between the two sites, so it's worth comparing. Send us whichever link you prefer and we order from that site.
Can I buy from Auction (옥션) without a Korean account?
Yes. Auction requires Korean identity verification to register and check out, which most foreigners in Korea can't complete. Send us the listing link and option, pay by PayPal, and we place the order on our own verified Auction account.
What does Order in Korea charge?
Our fee is 10% of the item price, with a $5 minimum and a $20 minimum order, shown before you pay. Most of it covers real costs — PayPal takes about 4.4% plus $0.30, and currency conversion adds roughly 3–4% — leaving an actual margin of about 2–4%.
Where will my Auction order be delivered?
Any Korean address you give us: an apartment, an officetel, a dorm, a hotel, or an office. We enter it exactly as Auction's system expects, and the seller's courier (or 스타배송) delivers it directly — the parcel never passes through us.
Buying secondhand on Auction — how do I know I'm getting what's described?
We read the Korean listing in full, including seller notes on condition and included accessories, and confirm details with you before we order. If the item arrives significantly different from the listing, we help you raise a return or exchange with the seller.
