How Makestar works
Makestar (메이크스타, makestar.com) sells K-pop albums through time-limited events: buying during the event adds Makestar-only photocards and, for draw events, entries to fansigns, video calls, or showcases. It has a language and currency switch and takes international cards and PayPal, so if you're outside Korea — or happy with its checkout — you may not need us at all.

No refunds after the event closesMakestar lets you cancel only until the event ends, and cancelling also removes your entries. After that, event albums can't be cancelled or refunded, so be sure of versions and quantities before we order.

Event albums ship weeks laterNothing ships until the entry period closes, quantities are fixed and the gifts are made and checked, which takes about 2–3 weeks on average. Reprints of faulty photocards or huge demand can add more.

Can I enter a Makestar fansign or video call through you?
Usually yes: Makestar counts entries by the applicant details typed at checkout, so we enter your passport name, phone number and messenger ID exactly as you give them, after reading that event's notice. Winners are checked against a photo ID matching those details, and only the winner can take part. Winner emails and messenger contact that reach our account are passed on to you right away.
When will my Makestar event album arrive?
After the event closes, Makestar fixes quantities, makes and inspects the gifts, then ships by Hanjin, on average about 2–3 weeks after the event end date. Photocard reprints or very large events can take longer. We watch the order and chase Makestar in Korean if it runs late.
Makestar already takes international cards and PayPal — do I need Order in Korea?
Maybe not — Makestar has a language and currency switch and accepts international cards and PayPal, so many fans order on their own. We help when you're in Korea and want the event notice read, your applicant details entered exactly, and the order tracked and chased in Korean, with delivery to your Korean address.
What does Order in Korea charge for a Makestar order?
10% of the item's won price, minimum $5, with a $20 minimum order — shown before you pay. Most of that fee is real cost: PayPal takes about 4.4% plus $0.30 and currency conversion adds roughly 3–4%, leaving our own margin at about 2–4%.
Where do Makestar orders get delivered?
To any Korean address you give us — home, officetel, dormitory, hotel, or Airbnb. It's the delivery address on the order, so when the event albums are ready Makestar ships them by Hanjin directly there (Jeju and islands pay extra shipping); we don't receive the package ourselves.
Can I cancel a Makestar event album after ordering?
Only until the event ends, and cancelling also removes your entries. Once the event period closes, event albums can't be cancelled or refunded, so we confirm versions and quantities with you before paying.
