1. Introduction
Welcome to Order in Korea (“Order in Korea”, “we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of https://www.orderinkorea.com (the “Site”) and the shopping-assistance service we provide. By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or our service.

2. What We Do
Order in Korea is a buy-for-you (purchasing-assistance) service for foreigners living in or traveling through Korea. You tell us what you want — by sharing a product link or describing the item — and we purchase it on your behalf from Korean retailers, verify the delivery address, handle communication with couriers where needed, and arrange delivery to your address in Korea. We act as your purchasing agent and reseller; we are not the manufacturer or original retailer of the products.

3. Independence & Non-Affiliation
Order in Korea is an independent shopping service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Coupang, Olive Young, or any other retailer or brand. All product names, trademarks, and brand names are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification and descriptive purposes only.

4. Placing an Order & Quotes
You may order in two ways:

  • Curated items shown on the Site, with pricing and availability presented up front.

  • Any other item from a supported Korean store, by pasting the product link — we then prepare a quote for your approval.

Every quote shows the item price plus our service fee, converted to your currency. A quote is an estimate based on information available at the time. Final availability and price are confirmed when we actually purchase the item; if anything material changes, we will contact you before proceeding.

5. Pricing & Fees
Our service fee is 10% of the item price (covering payment-processing and currency-conversion costs plus our margin), subject to a minimum order value of USD 20 and a minimum service fee of USD 5. Shipping or special-handling costs, where applicable, are shown in your quote. All amounts are presented in your selected currency at the exchange rate applied at the time of the quote.

6. Payment & Buyer Protection
Payment is made in advance through PayPal in your own currency (for example USD or EUR). We do not collect or store your card details — payment is handled entirely by PayPal. Paying through PayPal means your purchase is covered by PayPal’s Buyer Protection, subject to PayPal’s own terms.

7. Address Verification & Delivery
We verify your Korean delivery address (including hotels and short-term rentals such as Airbnb) before shipping. Where a courier needs to make contact, we can relay communication on your behalf so that a Korean phone number or Korean-language call is not required. Delivery times depend on the retailer and courier and are not guaranteed by us.

8. Availability, Out-of-Stock & Refunds
Product availability is confirmed at the moment of purchase. If an item turns out to be unavailable or out of stock after you have paid, we will notify you promptly and issue a full refund for that item. We are not liable for retailer stock errors beyond providing this refund.

9. Returns & Exchanges
Where the underlying retailer offers returns (for example, Coupang’s free-return policy), we will help you use that path to return or exchange an item. Refunds for returned items are processed once the retailer accepts the return and refunds us. Some items — such as perishable goods, personal-care products that have been opened, or made-to-order items — may not be returnable under the retailer’s policy.

10. Your Responsibilities
By using our service you agree to:

  • Provide accurate order, contact, and delivery information.

  • Confirm that you may lawfully receive the items you order in Korea.

  • Pay the quoted amount in full before we purchase on your behalf.

  • Not use the service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or resale-for-profit purpose that violates retailer or legal restrictions.

11. Prohibited & Restricted Items
We do not purchase items that are illegal, dangerous, or restricted under Korean or applicable law (including, without limitation, controlled substances, weapons, counterfeit goods, and prescription-only medicines). We may decline any order at our discretion and refund any amount already paid.

12. Limitation of Liability
Our service is provided on a reasonable-effort basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid us for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for delays, defects, or actions attributable to retailers, couriers, or payment providers.

13. Privacy
Our handling of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and the “Last updated” date will be revised. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Korea.
