How Kyobo Book works
Kyobo Book (교보문고) is Korea's largest bookstore chain, with large stores across Korea and an online shop at kyobobook.co.kr stocking everything from Korean novels and study materials to K-pop albums and stationery from Hottracks, its music and stationery arm. If you've browsed the shelves at Gwanghwamun or your local branch and then tried to order the same thing online, you've likely hit a wall.
바로배송Same-day delivery
Paid by noon on weekdays (11am Sat) in the capital area, or 11:30am in Daejeon, Busan, Daegu, Ulsan and Changwon, it arrives the same day. Albums, DVDs and sets excluded.
새벽배송Dawn delivery
Paid between noon and 10pm on a weekday, it arrives before 7am next morning in parts of the capital area. Needs the entrance code; offices and schools may get normal delivery.
바로드림Store pickup
Order online at the web price and collect at a chosen Kyobo store: ready in about an hour if it has stock, otherwise in 2–3 days, and held for 7 days.

Albums and goods ship separatelyAlbums, DVDs and gift items ship from Hottracks or partner sellers, not with your books; they can't use 바로배송, and seller items can only be cancelled right after payment. Opened albums can't be returned for change of mind.

One slow item holds the orderA pre-order, or a book Kyobo must reorder from the publisher (3–7 extra days), delays everything in the same order, and out-of-print titles get cancelled. We refund cancelled items in full; order urgent books separately.

Returns: 7 days, still wrappedChange-of-mind returns must be requested within 7 days of receipt with the shrink-wrap intact, and ₩2,500 return shipping is deducted. Damaged or wrong books can be exchanged within 30 days of noticing; we arrange it in Korean.

- Want 바로배송? Write it in the note and send your order early: we must pay by noon on a weekday, and the product page has to show 바로배송.
- Put pre-orders (예약판매) in a separate order so in-stock books aren't held back until release day.

Can I get a Kyobo book delivered the same day?
Yes, if the item shows 바로배송 and payment is made by noon on a weekday (11am on Saturday) for a capital-area address, or by 11:30am for Daejeon, Busan, Daegu, Ulsan or Changwon. Albums, DVDs, bulky sets and seller-shipped items don't qualify, and low stock can switch an order to normal delivery. Otherwise delivery usually takes 1–3 days after dispatch.
How are K-pop albums from Kyobo shipped?
Albums, DVDs and gift items are shipped by Hottracks (Kyobo's music and stationery arm) or by partner sellers rather than with your books. They ship free from ₩20,000 (otherwise ₩2,500) and can't use 바로배송. Once the shrink-wrap is opened they can't be returned for change of mind, so check the album version before we order.
Can I order from Kyobo Book without a Korean card or phone number?
Yes. Send us the product link from kyobobook.co.kr along with the edition or format and quantity you want, then pay us through PayPal. We place the order on a verified Korean account, so you never need a Korean card or a Korean phone number yourself. Kyobo's own FedEx service is for addresses outside Korea; inside Korea, we place a normal domestic order.
How much does it cost to order through Order in Korea?
We charge 10% of the item's Korean won price, with a $5 minimum fee and a $20 minimum order total. Most of that fee covers PayPal's processing charge and currency conversion rather than profit — our actual margin works out to roughly 2–4%. You see the full breakdown before you pay.
Where can Kyobo Book orders be delivered?
Anywhere in Korea with a valid address: your apartment or officetel, a university dormitory, your workplace, or a hotel or Airbnb you're staying at. Kyobo's courier — or the seller's, for 업체배송 items — delivers directly, the same as it would for a Korean customer.
What if I'm not sure which edition or format to order?
Kyobo Book often lists several editions, covers or formats for the same title or album. Paste the exact product link you're looking at and note any option shown in Korean, and we'll confirm the details with you before purchasing so you get the right one.
